New radiator was installed( by at home mechanic) , transmission fluid is now coming into the reservoir tank and transmission is slipping. Checked the transmission dipstick and it looks foamy. I purchased this car last week and we saw no signs of any problems other than low antifreeze which we added more immediately. After using the Air conditioner for about 20 minutes we noticed steam from engine around the area of reservoir tank. Checked the hoses at top and the first hose at radiator top was broken off and apparently fixed doing some glue and patch job so we went and bought new radiator and a friend installed it.

You may have a faulty new radiator, you need to get this checked asap and get the transmission flushed as the coolant will destroy the clutches.
