2005 Ford 500 F2 fuse blows instantly

replaced F2 fuse for interior lights and power windows but fuse blows instantly when installed is there a way to find out what is causing this by hooking it up to a computer ?????

No, a computer won't tell you where there is a short. Listen, there has to be a short. The most common place to find one is between the door and door frame where the wiring is always moving when the door is opened. Check there first.

Sorry to hear that. We need to look at this from a different direction. First, please look at the attached pictures. One is the fuse locations for the smart junction box in the vehicle. I highlighted the fuse, I believe you are having issues with. Also, according to the manual, fuse 2 in the box is only for the courtesy lamps and sends power to the courtesy lamp relay.

I can't find a picture of the relay locations, so what I need you to do is first confirm I have the correct fuse. Then, check to see if you are able to locate the courtesy lamp relay and remove it. Shake it to see if anything is loose in it. Also, when it is removed, install a fuse to see if it still fails.

Try this and let me know the results. I'm trying to narrow down possible causes and narrow down locations.
