light problem

2005 dodge caravan sxt3.3 with car off brake light work, when I turn on car brake lights illuminate without turning on from inside and stay lit . Already replaced brakelight switch sometimes when car is started, and lights off, when brake peel pressed brake light illuminate and stay on.thank you,john

new switches can and are often faulty, also ensure that if it is an adjustable type, the setting is correct and that the brake pedal is fully returning and not resting in the switch.
