I needed to get a new oil filter casing/housing

I have a Daihatsu Serion S 998cc 2005 and I recently had it serviced and was told that I needed to get a new oil filter casing/housing. The mechanic wasn't an English speaker and seemed unsure of himself when describing this part, so I wanted to find out for sure exactly what to ask for when ordering this part. Can you help me please?Thank you!
