While driving down the road at any speed the Tahoe wobbles from side to side after hitting a bump or dip in the road. Steering wheel doesn't wobble. I heard it could be the shocks but I'm just trying to narrow the problem or is there a certain check of parts to remedy the problem. The back tires are new but the front tires are old. I'm going to replace them very soon.

check front suspension sounds like ball joints are bad to me but could be anything in front suspension not shocks. also could be a loose tire/worn tire but check suspension first.especially with your mileage and not many lube points on it.

I will definitely look into to that. Also if this helps, I replaced all the shocks 3 yrs ago and greased the several bars underneath the truck. This problem started 3 months ago when I got the 2 new back tires. Or at least it was very apparent after that. The 2 front tires are worn more on the sides of tire but like I said I need to replace them. If it is a ball joint problem is this expensive to repair? Thanks for the help

each ball joint is around $135 ea and 2.5 hrs per side to replace whatever labor rate is in your area.
