i am hoping to buy a chevrolet joy aka spark 2005 model from a guy and i looked at his car but i found a piece of the car engine missing i dont know whats the part called thats what im hoping to know, ill attach some pictures so youll have a better idea.
just notice the black type box which is near the battery is missing can you please tell me what is it and what is the use of that particular part?
id be really thankful if you answer me at your earliest im hoping to buy it. thank you!

unless it is in the trunk it is missing the air cleaner, duct work, and or maf sensor. i'm surprised it even runs. It will have to be replaired more than likely if you buy it.

My friend told me its an air intake, if it is what's the use of it?

if you don't have it the car will get crappy mileage all the time because the computer won't go into closed loop like it should. i'm amazed that it even runs like that

My friend said this model has the intake beneath the engine I'll go check the car tomorrow if I can't find it I won't buy it
