Sputters and shuts off then does not want to accept the gas

If it decides to crank, you have to do it several times fluctuating on the gas pedal and after sputtering and dying a few times, sometimes it cranks sometimes, no. also if the A/C is on and I stop and try to idle, it chokes out and most of the time shuts off.

Test the fuel pressure using an accurate gauge. If you post the engine size i will provide the spec for it or you can just post your findings here.

i recently replaced the fuel pump as well.

Just saw this one and noticed this was from almost 10 years ago so I am not sure they will respond to you so let's see if I can help.

Here is a guide that we need to follow to test fuel pressure. Even though you replaced the pump, we still may have other issues causing a fuel issue. So let's start with that and go from there. Also, does your vehicle run poorly and sputter like described above or does it run poorly at different times?

Just to throw my 2 cents in, I saw an issue with cranking.

If the battery is low and does not crank fast enough, it will do this as well.

I would load test the battery to be sure it is good.
