2005 Chevrolet Equinox part name

Please don't laugh but i have no idea how else to describe this part and i desperately need the name for it. Its a tube on top the engine looks like a bendy straw with a piece of cloth on it. Any idea what its called. And again, thanks for not laughing at my advance tech lingo ;)
