My 2005 was running fine, then

I was in an accident. Hit another car and right away the car was running rough and blowing white smoke. Because of this I had car towed.
Auto body shop told insurance company that I had a blown head gasket and it was not accident related.

My question is how can my car be fine and then right after thae accident I have this problem. It only ran a couple of minutes after the accident.

They ran no test so I am not even sure that it has a blown head gasket. Any other possibilities???

Insurance company says maintainence issue-I say it was fine and then I had accident and it was not fine so it should be covered!!!!!!

The white smoke and running rough indicates that the engine is burning coolant somehow. There aren't too may ways for that to happen and even fewer ways for it to be caused by a collision. It can be due to a blown head gasket from overheating or a bad intake manifold gasket but again, not collision caused. Unless you continued to run the engine after the collision causing it to get real hot, I don't see a connection.
