2005 Chevrolet Cobalt Vavle noise

Changed timing chain because valve/chain noise. Motor started still had small valve noise. Removed valve cover cranked motor no ignition seen no oil come to valves. do i have a bad oil pump? Don't know where to check oil pressure besides sensor

take the sensor out it will be the easiest place to hook up. shold be 50 psi minimum at idle check for a stuck pressure regulator

is the sensor the only place to check oil pressure? Should I see oil with the motor cranking?

I really don't have a schematic of the 2.2 for other places to check it will start then maybe quit due to no oil pressure showing

i don't see any oil coming to the top when i crank the engine (valve cover off, ignition pulled) also valve cover had no oil dripping when i removed it. without checking pressure can i assume the oil pump let go.

asuuming can be totatlly wrong check the pressure first it could be a bad oil filter as well.
