Transmission not shifting into reverse properly

Hello,

Can I ask if when you put he car in reverse does the gear indicator light up for reverse? if not chances are the gear range sensor is out. here is the location in case you need to replace it. Lets run the codes as well

2004 Cadilac Escalade only goes into reverse.

If you place it in low gear, will it move? Is the transmission fluid clean and full? Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes? Also, let me know if this is a 2wd or 4wd vehicle. That changes the transmission.
