hesitates periodically, yesterday did it and clunked, sounded like it was from the rearend. could it be the rear end or the transmission?

it cold be anyo f those although unless it is awd there is only a bar going accross. have a pro look at it and explain when it happens. It could be a broken motor or trans mount.
