Idling speed at operating temperature is 650 - 750 rpm.
Cold start idling speed varies depending on the coolant temperature, the colder it is , the higher it would be and for a longer period before it drops to normal idling speed.

Idling speed is computer controlled and adjustment is not necessary.

my question should have been more detailed ..Cold idle at 40 deg outside is 1800 rpms and drops to 850 when fully warmed up .It dropes at a normal rate as it warms up, to 850..it doesnt fluculate and holds 850 as a baseline .Car runs perfect with no issues except for the idle numbers .Isnt there a base idle adjustment screw on the throttle body? where it can be lowerd to say 750 or or less ? When i bought this car it had an aftermarket Injen short cold air intake instead of the factory air box .Would this cause the idle numbers to increase ? The IAC works perfect .

Symptoms indicates the idling speed is working correctly. For your year model, the engine should be K20Z1 and the idling speed specification is 750 - 850rpm, which indicates it is within specs. Sorry for missing this out.

No idle adjustment screws are provided. There is a stopper for the throttle plate which is factory set and should not be tampered with.

The after market air intake system would not afffect the idling speed. Check for vacuum leakages, especially the PCV which could be failing and allowing more than required air to get to the throttle body.
