I have replaced compressor, condensor, fan assembly, three relays, and had recharged 3 times, but compressor still won't kick on. Is there a reset code through computer that has to be done for compressor to work? A local repair shop stated that there diagnostics showed there was a open pin to compressor and I'd have to take it to dealer to have reset.

If you could give me the exact number you have and not just the code description i can get you the trouble tree.It sounds like more then just a code reset if it says compressor open pin.

That's exactly what Meineke's diagnosis said, compressor open pin.

I understand thats what it said but if you give me the actual letter and number code it would be so much easier for me to look up and make sure we were on the same page as to which code it is.Some of the codes with there description are very similar wording but a different code.Iam really trying to help.you and just dont want to steer you in a totally different direction then we need to go.

Meineke's diagnostic test stated it was Pin T14/3 is being grounded by PCM, and this is teh wide open throttle compressor request to shutdown a/c for wide open throttle conditions, and that I needed to take to VW dealer to have basic settings reset. I did this and dealer said I needed to replace compressor, and fan assembly first, which I have done along with condensor, drier, and expansion valve, and dealer said it would reset itself, but compressor still isn't kicking in.

You first said there was a open pin to the compressor was that a trouble code that they pulled out of your computer when they scanned it for code's?If so i really need the actual number of that code. Also could it be possible there is a open or loose wire or terminal from the pcm to the compressor causing it to not come on when its supposed too? Also i need whats called a rpo code from your car so i can look up the correct wire diagram for your a/c.Were looking for a bbw or not having a bbw rpo code.Iam not sure where the label is but it has a bunch of numbers and letters on it.Look in your door jambs glove box and trunk and spare tire area for one.
