Mil light on but no dtc's

Hi I have a bora with the engine management light on but no dtc's stored. Originally it had a dtc for engine coolant temp sensor which I replaced with a new genuine part and cleared the dtc but nw after roughly 3 drive cycles mil light comes back on with no faults any ideas? Thanks
