Hi there, my sister has a vauxhall corsa 1.2 2004 reg and it cut out on her the other day.. and wen started again it would cut out after about 30 secs, but before cutting out the engine an service light flashes then cuts out an makes a clicking noise from the top of the engine, she called the aa an was told its the fuel filter. so i completed a full service, air, oil, fuel filters spark plugs an oil also her oil presure sensor was leaking so replaced that to.. but no joy so took off all air intake an outlet pipes an cleaned them.. still same problem, while investigating the clickin noise found out it come from the valve that sits on top of the carbretta, so cleaned that an an greased it so it dont stick... still same problem but the clickin noise has died down but still can be heard if u got the bonnet open... ive got a feeling it might be the carbretta, please help by pointing me in the right direction. cheers,

Even if the light flickers this is enough to set a code, and not all codes will set a code, so the scan is always the best place to start with any diagnosis.
