2004 Toyota 4Runner Replaced engine

Hi, I replaced the engine on my 2004 4 runner with a 2007 FJ cruiser. Engine makes attempt to start but wont. What is casing this? Does the computer need to be reset?

The old PCM may not be compatible with the other engine, you may have to check the part no on the PCM that that the new engine came from.
