how do i take off the front brake rotor on my 2004 suzuki verona

Do you see a flat head bolt holding it on? If so, that bolt must be removed first. Normally there are two of them to remove, then you thread in a pair of metric bolts to push against the hub and pull the rotor off, but I only see one such hole in the photos and I can't tell if that hole is threaded. With that type of rotor, banging on it usually doesn't work to get it off.
