what does it mean when airbag light stays on for a month then goes off and stays off?

I have a 2004 subaru wrx with 49k miles on it. the airbag light came on about a month ago and it stayed on. I took the car to my local subaru dealer who pulled a code 41 and he said the right-hand SRS control module had to be replaced. While driving home from the dealer,I noticed the light was out and it has gone out each time I start the engine for the past 2 weeks. My question is does the fact that the light now goes off as it should after start-up mean anything or does the code 41 mean the SRS module is bad no matter what the airbag light now does?
