The locking mechanism on the boot only half locks from what i can see. It still keeps the boot closed but it does not turn off the door open indicator on the dash board. My mechanic tells me that a new lock will cost about 200 euro which i am not prepared to pay. I have had this problem for a while and have got used to it but apparently my son won't be allowed to sit his driving test in my car if the door open indicator is on. Does anyone know of a quick cheap DIY fix. Thanks
