crack in whindsheild

have a small crack on the passenger side of car , and was wondering can I run it through the car wash or is the whole windshield gonna cave in

Just to add to this one it cant cave in its safety glass and has a film to hold it together in case it breaks.Also if its a star chip its probably fixable if it turned into a crack it will have to be replaced.
