I've been having problems with my 2004 Saturn VUE for a few months now. My coolant light has been on for a while. At first I didn't have any issues but over the past few months I have been having lots of problems with my car. Sometimes when I am driving my car will start acting weird it'll start off with my breaks getting really stiff on the pedal, once I get to about 50 mph my car would start shaking, when I press down on the gas it feels like I am stuck in one gear, then when I let off the gas my car will practically stop on its own without the need of my breaks, and finally notice my temperature gauge is climbing to the middle.
It's been getting worse as the weather has been getting warmer.
I talked to a mechanic and he told me that I could possibly need a tstat and a coolant flush. I just wanted a second opinion on what steps I should take to resolve this issue with my car.
Thanks.
Justin
