Radiator fan excessive vibration after initial start up. Could it be a bad bearing in the fan motor?

After initial start-up of the engine, the radiator fan switches to high speed. This causes a lot of vibration through out the car and very loud noises. I know the problem stems from the radiator fan, but my question is, is it normal for the vibration to be from a bad bearing on the fan motor, or is it caused by something else such as a faulty high speed relay making the fan over speed or something? Is buying a new fan motor going to solve my problem?

Could be a bad bearing or loose mounting-investigate if it turns out to be the bearing-replace the fan
