when I start my 2004 grand am I get a strong smell of gas in the car.

The problem started within the last couple of weeks. After I start the car and I intially start to drive ther is a very styrong odor of gas. It is as if I was standing at the gas stattion filling my tank. It is that strong

things to check. fuel pressure regulator for leak. fuel lines and tank for leak/wet spots. canister vapor system for raw fuel contamination.
