Have you checked to make sure the wiring to the sensor isn't damaged or the plug to it is okay?

no I have not is the sensor by the oil filter itself

Start with the sensor to make sure everything is okay. You may need to rent a mechanical gauge to confirm pressure. The switch may be bad.
