4x4 not working

my 2004 nissan titan is not locking in 4wd. the lights on the dash show that it's in 4x4. but the front end doesn't pull. What could be the problem

Hello,

This is a common problem with these trucks. What happens is the 4x4 actuator goes out causing the transfer case not to work. Remove the actuator and replace it with a new one this should fix the problem.
