There is an airbag module in the center dash on the bottom under the air vents. There were mice that got jn and ate some of the wires. I scanned the nissan quest and b1115 came up. I figured that after soldering the wires back together that the code would disappear. Well it did not and resetting the air bags does nothing. The code is still there. Is it possible that the rat damage damaged the RH satillite sensor? Also where is this sensor located on this 2004 nissan quest?

a pro has to use his scanner to reset the code or erase it if there is no other damage . satellite sensors on a path finder are on lh base of b pillar but it can be different depending on car line. seeing as you didn't give what kind of car it is it's a toss up but you should have a pro try to reset the module first.

I wrote in the post what vehicle is it. 2004 nissan quest and not sure what you mean by a pro. I'm technician at Ford Motor company. I did scan it and reset the air bag module but the code comes back up so there is still a fault of some sort still present. I appreciate the response but it seems you didn't read the whole post or didn't understand.

I did read it but when you put quest in the regular line I go for the code We use the Mitchell's manual here but there are no codes for the air bags on this vehicle. I have read every diagnostic test for your problem an dit always goes to short in system etc. Evidently Nissan has decided to keep that stuff secret and has not given Mitchell any info code wise other than possible causes etc. I looked at all the jap manufactures and none of them give air bag codes . Unfortunately it looks like I can be of no help. sorry

I went to the Nissan forum and one of the Nissan techs there said to ask the dealer for what the code is so you know what is causing the problem.
