2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse crankcase breathing (pcv)

I was just wondering cars have either a pcv breathing tube that connects to the pcv valve for filtering out the bad gasses, or they have a sponge looking filter in the air filtering housing. which one does the 04 eclipse have?

pcv valves send oil vapors to engine to be burned not bad gasses. the filter type is used in conjunction with a pcv valve yours has a hose see pic
