Was driving about 100km/h when there was just smoke I pulled over to the side of the road there was a funny sound from the engine I tried to put the engine off evan pulled the key it still ran, had it towed home, it starts what could be the problem

When you say it still ran, did it run very rough and shake the engine or did it run fairly normally.

Revs ran high then dropped low again for about a minute then stopped and died buy its self was shaking as normal when one starts

no overheating? all fluids ok? fuel ok, and not contaminated? any check light on, you can scan anyway as not all fault codes will set a check light.

Heat gage normal, not fluids on the floor, slight oil around the turbo area no lights lit up, evan now no oil spill on the floor it starts now a little shaky uneven running and a little smoke, oils is full no water in it at all.

Can you say with any confidence what colour the smoke was? black, white, bluish?

It was a very ball of grey smoke not black but soo much that the cars behind me stopped they couldn't see in front of them and couldn't see them in my revue mirror

I am thinking a stuck injector, i would get them serviced and i would also ensure that the turbo waste gate is working correctly.
