2004 Mercury Mountaineer Put another motor in

I put a new motor in i bought this 2002 ford explorer an put that motor in my 2004 my problem is when I turn the key on it don't kick over the lights cone an that's it I can by pass out on the motor where the fuse box is an start it so what's the problem with the key that it won't turn the motor over
