After soldering 2004 grand marquis lighting module, does it have to be programmed before being re installed? (if it the original from your own car your are repairing) lights go out and or don't come on, even while driving. I have researched the problem. I now need to know if, once I remove the lighting control module (LCM), will i have to have it reprogrammed before it will function properly. I don't want to remove and do soldering and then end up with my car being inoperable at night. Also I need to know, so I can determine any additional costs.
thank you ahead of time.

I researched this problem for about a week, and everything kept pointing the the lcm. The fuses were good, underhood fuses too, with low beams out the high beams worked when pulled back.
Also I talked to my mechanic, and he confirmed he suspected same thing.
I suppose it could be something else, but won't cost me anything to try this.
I was worried about the "re-programming" thing.
Thank you for your time, knowledge, and help.
If you have other suggestions, I'd or course be happy to hear them.
thanks again!
