how do i remove door lock

The car is a 2004 mercedes CLK coupe model ref W209 see attached image

I have the instructions here for a 209 model but it is for CLK320 and I believe they are similar.

REMOVE/INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOCK
MODEL 209

1 Remove front door lining

2 Remove sidebag (3)Model 209.3 with sidebag

3 Remove speaker in front door
 
4 Remove outside door handle on front door

5 Loosen rear rail on power window and fold down

6 Disconnect electrical connector (6) from left door control unit
(N69/1) and right door control unit (N69/2) 
 
7 Expose electrical lines (5) up to door lock (1)
 
8 Unscrew bolt (2)

9 Take out door lock (1) through access opening
 
10 Install in the reverse order
 
11 Adjust play by loosening and tightening bolt (4) Left side:
right-hand thread.
Right side: left-hand thread.

12 Carry out function check
 

I am having the same issue. I removed the bolt on the bottom of the window rear rail and the top one as well. The rail still does not move enough to take it out of place. My understanding is I have to remove the window itself but not sure how. Surely there is a clip or something.
