Why doesnt my load button work on my 6 disc cd player?

Everytime i press and hold the load button it either jumps to fm/am or nothing happens. Ive tried taking out battery to restart it didnt work.

The button membrane control is faulty. If you have the skills, open the case and clean it. If not, you'll have to pay to get it done.
