Hi there,

My GS 300 recently started showing these signs on the dash. First it started with the VSC OFF sign of which after I check it out I found that the air intake pipes one connection was loose and this made it come on. So I returned it back on and tightened it and it was working fine. That was about 2 months ago but last week the subjected signs have been coming on even after replacing new brake pads all around and also for good measure the tyres (not related I know). Also removed the -ve terminal from the battery to reset the computer but still the lights are on. What should I be looking at? I can take to a garage but most of the time they charge a bomb if you don't know your car well and I need to pin the issue before I take it in. Please help if possible. Thanks

Good afternoon again,

These codes are evap codes.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-emission-control-systems-work

Toyota has a canister in the rear above the fuel tank that contains everything in it.

That most likely is your issue here. I attached a picture for you as well as the descriptions.

have the brakes replaced $200/300 depending on the shop you use and the actual condition of all parts .. have the vehicle plugged into a diagnostic scanner to locate the cause of the VSC fault
