What could cause a 2004 Kia Sorento's motor to die or shut off while driving and not start?

I've already installed a new fuel pump thinking that was the problem but it didn't fix the problem

So the car dies then cranks and wont start?Any codes in the computer?Could be a bad crank sensor.
