on the left side of tranny . what is the bolt for right next to the filler plug .

filler plug . then going to towards the rear,5there s a bolt there. what is that bolt for. didnt have wrench to pull fill plug to check oil level, so i pulled that bolt, now cant get it to go back in. like something droped down. thanks.help me

I'm guessing manual transmission, but what model do you have? Rubicon, Wrangler, etc?

The bolt you're talking about, is the opening in the housing it goes through threaded?
