As I pulled up to my house the vehicle started to idle/lope extremely rough, like it was going to shut off.

The vehicle immediately threw code p0205 Cylinder five Injector Circuit Malfunction. Did some research and found that sometimes the TPS sensor sometimes causes this. Replaced the TPS sensor (with sensor from the dealer), cleared the code and took it for a drive on the highway. Everything was okay at first until we came to a stop light.

It threw two codes this time P0205-Cylinder 5 Injector Circuit Malfunction, and P0305 code for misfire on cylinder 5. So we swapped injectors and found the injector in cylinder 5 to be bad. Changed the bad injector, the jeep drove okay, however it threw code P0205-Cylinder 5 Injector Circuit Malfunction again. Did some research and found that the ASD relay can cause this. Replaced the ASD relay and everything seemed perfect.

Drove the car on the highway for half an hour and when I came to the third stoplight it started to idle extremely rough again, like it was going to shut off. The Jeep threw code(s) P0205-Cylinder 5 Injector Circuit Malfunction, and P1388-auto shutdown relay control circuit, I am assuming that this is the ASD sensor I replaced earlier.

The rough idle/loping shows its self after highway driving when sitting at a stop with the car in drive

Any help anyone could offer me would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you.

Success! Problem solved. Wiring harness melted against engine block. Removed harness, replaced wires, loomed it up and reinstalled. No PCM damage and runs like a top. So, if you ever see P0205 or a similar injector circuit malfunction check the wiring harness first. .

From the description it sounds like the wiring harness that runs to the injectors. It runs very close to the block so it could easily get hot.
