i replaced the battery and now the car shifts hard going into third gear.is it possible this is a computer problem?

if the check engine light is on it can be but a scan will tell you . auto parts do for free. otherwise it may be a valve body problem.

thanks ,but the car shifted fine before i changed the battery, it only has 32,000 mile on it.

changing the battery shouldn't' have done anything for trans problem have a local pro look at it.

i had a local pro check it , he told me the dealer needs to reprogram the computer.
