Had all the belts, water pump, crank seal, cam seal, idler bearings and tensioner replaced , now car vibrates terribly. Could the mechanic have damaged the engine somehow? He suggested he might have the tension on the belt too tight.
Any ideas?

could be loose motor mounts from the repair.

Repaired yesterday. Engine size 2.4L 4 cyl
Car is 2004, had belts changed because they were old, serpentine was cracking.

If motor mounts would car make a roaring like noise in park and vibrate?

I will Monday. Picked up car at closing Friday. Wanted some idea of what could be wrong so I could talk sensibly with the mechanic.
Regarding the belts, like I said, I had all the belts replaced, and that did include the timing belt.,crank seal, cam seal, water pump, idler bearings and tensioner bearing.
Car had never vibrated or roared before it was repaired. The mechanic said , perhaps the tensioner pulley was too tight?
Thanks for your assistance...........ben
