I have a 2.4 Hyundai I changed the timing belt and apparently I put it back on wrong when I started it it made a noise so I took timing belt off and my crank will only turn half a turn

Do you have the process on how to set the timing and is this an interference motor? Could it have hit a valve?

Yes. All Hyundai engines are interference engines so it is very possible that you have a bent valve at this point which is preventing you from turning the engine over.

What I would do is use a borescope to look in each spark plug hole to find out if there are anything valves hanging open touching the piston.

If not then we need to re-time the engine by removing the belt and spin the cam and crank separate to align them as shown in these guides:
