my heater is not working?

I'm suspecting a possible defective heater core. Check the inlet hose for the heater core and it should be hot once the vehicle is up to operating temperature. Then check the outlet hose for the heater core and it should be equally as hot. If the inlet is hot and the outlet is anywhere from cold to barely warm, you have a bad heater core.

If that checks out it could be the blend door actuator not working. It looks like it is under the dash on the passengers side. You will need to remove the glove box to change it out.

Cold air coming out no heat and the fan is loud

Is the engine running at a normal opperating temp? IF it is, with the engine running, hot, and the heater on, feel both heater core hoses. THey should both be hot. If one is hot and one cold, chances are the heater core is plugged. If both are hot, then the blend door needs to be cheked. It determines if you get heat or AC.

Heater blower works. heater tank full, water temperature gauge shows normal. No heat to the cabin.

with it running and warm check the hoses going into the firewall to see if they are hot, one usually is hot and the other just warm. there may be some junk in the heater core. would suggest after trying the heater with different heat setting. Had to do it to our Ford truck, I back flushed the heater core and all kinds of junk came out. then repeat, {note you will have to take the two hoses off so make sure the coolant level is low so it will not get all over}. Then take a piece of hose and put it on each line. you do not have to have the vehicle running. i am ruling out the thermostat as the gauge reads normal.

Thanks for that. The thermostat was replaced a couple of months ago when the system took twenty minutes to reach normal running temperature! I also had a small leak in the header tank and continually topped up until could get round to fixing it. The heater was temperamental sometimes hot sometimes not during this time. I will try the flush and get back to you.

My heater stopped working I either need a picture or explain to me where the power resister is located at. it would be a big help.

Turns out it was a loose wire when I took the heater control out.
