Fuel pump and filter location

Hello,

This car has what they call a lifetime fuel filter even though sometimes they can plug up. The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank. Which will need to be remove to get the filter out. Some cars have a trap door for the fuel pump and filter and it looks like you car is one of them but if not here is a guide that will give you an idea of what you are in for when doing the job.

Fuel filter is located in the fuel tank together with the fuel pump.

Not my 04 ex crv the fuel filter is in the tank not easy accessible.

would that be the same place on a british crv

Service and Repair Notes The fuel filter should be replaced whenever the fuel pressure drops below the specified value (270 - 320 kPa, 2.8 - 3.3 kgf/sq.cm, 40 - 47 psi) , after making sure that the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator are OK. Remove the fuel pump.

Remove the fuel filter (A). Install in the reverse order of removal with a new base gasket (B) and a new O-ring (C), then check these items: When connecting the wire harness, make sure the connection is secure and the terminal (D) is firmly locked into place. When installing the fuel gauge sending unit (E), make sure the connection is secure and the connector is firmly locked into place. Be careful not to bend or twist it excessively.

My 2002 Honda CRV 4wd shuts down when I come to a stop. It no longer idles. I can easily start it again and as long as I keep the RPMs up, the car functions fine. Is this a fuel pump issue?

Clean out the idle air control valve, test the throttle position and manifold absolute pressure sensors-to include a fuel pressure check-

Replace the IAC valve.

Hey how long does it take to do this, you have to drop the tank I assume right?

with vehicle lift you can get it done in 1 hour, without the lift suspect a 2 hour job.

Fuel Pump/Fuel Gauge Sending Unit Replacement Special Tools Required Fuel sender wrench 07XAA-001010A 1.Relieve the fuel pressure. 2.Remove the fuel fill cap. 3.Fold the rear seats forward, and pull back the carpet to expose the access panel.

4.Remove the access panel (A) from the floor. 5.Disconnect the fuel pump 5P connector (B). 6.Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (C) from the fuel tank unit.

7.Using the special tool, loosen the fuel tank unit assembly locknut (A).

8.Remove the locknut (A) and the fuel tank unit. 9.Remove the fuel filter (B), the fuel gauge sending unit (C), the case (D), the wire harness (E), and the fuel pressure regulator (F). 10.When connecting the fuel tank unit, make sure the connection is secure and the suction filter (G) is firmly connected to the fuel pump (H). 11.Install the fuel tank unit in the reverse order of removal with a new base gasket (I) and new O-rings (J). Be sure to check these items: *When connecting the wire harness, make sure the connection is secure and the connector (K) is firmly locked into place. *When installing the fuel gauge sending unit, make sure the connection is secure and the connector is firmly locked into place. how do i locate, clean or replace the fuel filters?

You can replace the air filter but can not clean the fuel filter. There's no recommendation to replace the fuel filter. The fuel filter is inside the fuel tank.
