Replaced alternator, battery and the check charging system light is still on. I have been told to check the computer controlled charging system. is this the same as a computer controlled voltage regulator. Can it be replaced by the everyday person, if so where is it located

you need to check the powers and grounds first. there is a big 120 amp fuse that powers the big wire. you need to verify power to the big fat wire.

dont look at the pcm yet. the voltage regulator is internal in the alternator, not the computer.
