2004 Ford Ranger Installing gasket Fel-pro OS30712R

I want to know if I should put RTV on the gasket for this engine oil pan. I heard there is a TSB for Vulcan engines but not sure if it applies to a 2004 Ford Ranger. And where exactly to put it if I should use it? I have black Ultra RTV Permatex ready to go just want to get it right the first time.
