2004 Ford F-150 overdrive snapring

What is a fair price to replace the overdrive snapring in my transmission. Its a $2.44 part, but I believe the trans has to be removed to do so.

it has to be removed as well as torn down so they may charge like a rebuild which prices vary all over.
