2004 Ford Explorer chirping when accelerating

looking for ideas on sleuthing an engine chirp in my '04 4.6l explorer. Thought it was serp belt related..replaced belt, tensioner, 3 pulleys...still chirps...only when accelerating in gear...quiet revving in park. Removed belt...still chirps! Does not rattle at all..more of a chirp/squeal when putting the gas down. If I baby the throttle - no noise. Any suggestions?..don't want to throw any more parts at it or do unnecessary exploratory surgery. Thanks!

cleaned the throttle...yes it was filthy!..unfortunately the chirp/chatter/squeal remains. Difficult because I can't observe it from the engine bay. But it seems like it is coming from the top/rear of the engine. Others have suggested the timing chain/guides..but it has no "rattle" aspect. It is the sound of chattering/chirping at higher pitch and only when torquing engine. Very frustrating!

Using three feet of heater hose/ garden hose/ any sorta hose

Shove one end in you ear and use it sorta like a stethoscope (use it in the open air close to the suspect area, butt it against items too).

Maybe transmission related?

Pull the transmission dipstick out and but the three foot hose to the tube, any thing goes when you are grasping for straws!

Maybe you can pin down the origin of the racket

one more thing

i had an intermittent chirp on my '77 cj 5

took me a while, but i finally figgered that one of the four rubber bumpers that the front of the hood sits on, on the top of the grill had took missing

this allowed the front driver's side of the hood (basically the corner) to barely rub the top of the the fender near the grill, kinda behind the hood latch

thought i'd throw that in too!
