2004 Dodge Stratus Inconcistant Idle

Car idle jumps up and down until put in gear and drove and once parked after a few seconds it begins to jump up and down again between 750 and 2000 rpm's. Not sure if it is a IACV or TPS or the throttle body itself. But runs and drives fine but jumps around when in park and seems to use more fuel than it should.

it sound like u could have a vacume leak

Thanks I will recheck my vacuum lines. I just had it hooked to a diagnostics machine and its throwing a code for the ERG valve I am not familiar with it so I am not sure if that is the problem either ?

yes the egr valve can cause this to conferm this u can block off erg passage with a peice of tin and if surging stops its your problem

Ok thank you very much for the info, I just bought the car so I will have the car lot replace it they use a shade tree mechanic to fix there vehicles so I wanted to try and find the problem because it was suppose to have been fixed already but he didn't know what was wrong with it. Thanks again.
