I took the truck to Midas and they said that one of my rod bearing was worn down. I would also like to know how would they be able to see my rod bearings because I heard you need to take off the oil pan. So they said I had to get a rebuilt engine. The guy said to use Lucas oil to help put the rod bearing into place. Then I put the Lucas oil and some oil in with a new oil filter. My dad told me to use Marvel Mystery Oil to help see if I have dirt in my engine. So I wanted to get some advice before I go buy a new engine. I would like to know if somebody can change the rod bearings or do I have to get a new engine meaning a engine with less miles. Thank you and have a bless day.
