If you have rear disc brakes, start by checking the rotor for a chunk broken off due to rust. That almost always occurs on the backside of the rotor. A rotor can warp too resulting in the caliper sliding back and forth as the wheel rotates. If grooves are worn into the mounts the pads ride on, the pads' backing plates can catch on those grooves and make a clicking sound once or twice per wheel revolution.
