How can I tune my gearbox so that the gear can slip in more easily?

I find it more difficult to put my car in reverse gear, and while it is in reverse gear the gearbox make a funny sound

This will proberbly be a clutch adjustment problem, i do not have any info on these systems in the database, normally if it is a hydraulic system there will be no adjustment and if mechanical (cable ) often there is, i would also be checking the oil in the gear box as well.
